October newsletter
Greetings Falstaffians,
We are gearing up for the fabulous Canterbury Festival – a n eclectic mix of leading music acts, theatre, comedy, talks and arts performances, which runs for the next two weeks.
With a packed programme of over 200 events, the festival kicks off on Saturday with a parade celebrating 50 years since the moon landing. Venues include Canterbury Cathedral, the Marlowe Theatre, and the centerpiece of the festival – the evocative Spiegeltent. The stellar line-up features two-time MOBO award winner Laura Mvula, Jack Savoretti, Ward Thomas, the Afro-Cuban All Stars, Jess Gillam, Paul Young’s Los Pacaminos, Le Gateau Chocolat and Jonny Woo and many, many more. Take a look at the Canterbury Festival website for remaining tickets.
If after all this excitement you need to refuel, we have brought the authentic flavours of Naples to The Falstaff with an all-new pizza menu! Our deliciously moreish thin crust pizzas are available Thursday to Monday evenings from 5pm. If you’re really ravenous, you might like to try one of our six delicious options on a half metre board!
To go alongside, our mixologist has concocted six Italian-inspired cocktails. The Pampelle Paloma is long, sharp and thirst quenching with Ocho Reposado Tequila, Pampelle Ruby Red aperitif, lime, sugar and grapefruit soda. Or how about a Rum & Raisin Espresso Martini?
Once you’ve been entertained, fed and watered, you may as well make a night of it and flop into one of our gloriously comfortable beds. Rooms at The Falstaff start at £74 for a cosy double and we still have some availability over the next couple of weeks.
Ciao for now!
