we are proud of our extensive wine list featuring wines from all over the world. english wine is the great success story of recent years and we have some of the country’s leading wine producers on our doorstep.  Chapel down, Gusborne, nyetimber, Charles Palmer, Hush Heath and Bolney are just some of the names you will find on our wine list.

Paul Hodges has over 30 years in the fishing trade.  certified under the marine stewardship council, paul is one of the few fish merchants that carry this tough accreditation for sustainable fish.  based at Rock-a-Nore, Hastings.  pictured is his boat, Amadeus.

the steak served in our grill is sourced from highly reputed butchers and royal warrant holders Donald Russell, who specialise in traditionally hung meat from grass-fed, British animals.

overlooking nearby Bodiam Castle, all of the bakery’s bread is made using traditional methods with each loaf hand-moulded, and long fermentation times used to develop the full flavour of the dough.  no artificial enhancers or chemical improvers are used.

much of our fruit and veg is delivered personally by rye fruiterer and local character, Brett Johnson, from his shop just down the road.  it is mainly grown in local gardens and farms.
