Leeds Castle

Picturesque Leeds Castle sits on an island in the middle of the River Len, 30 miles from Canterbury. Set in 500 acres of beautiful parkland, the castle & grounds offers something for everyone.

Originally the site of a Saxon manor, the Castle has been home to six medieval Queens of England and was one of Henry VIII's favourite palaces. The last private owner, Lady Baillie, restored the castle with the finest French architecture and design and filled the castle with art and antiques.

There are rare and exotic birds in the aviary and falconry displays throughout the day. The yew maze is a favourite with children. There is a huge adventure playground, built entirely of wood, based on a scale model of the castle.

For the more adventurous there are Hot Air Balloon flights and 'Go Ape' - an exhilarating course of rope bridges, Tarzan nets and zip slides up to 65 feet above the forest floor.

Special events are held throughout the year. Please see the website for further details.
