Canterbury River tours

Explore the City from a boat tour along the River Stour. Canterbury River Tours was a runner up in the Tourism South East "Exsellence Awards" and operates from the bridge in St Peter's Street (next to the Old Weavers Restaurant) just a short walk from the hotel.

Each boat is chauffeured by a knowledgeable guide. Along the way the tour takes in the 13th Century Greyfriars Chapel, located on a small Franciscan island at one end of the City and the oldest example of Franciscan architecture in the country. Next the boat passes under the 12th century Eastbridge Hospital and on past the Kings Bridge, The Old Weavers House, The Kings Mill and the Cromwellian iron forge. With wonderful views of the Cathedral, the tour lasts approximately 40 minutes and finishes up back at The Ducking Stool.
